E-mailThis year’s Padova Bike Expo Show, which took place from January 15th to January 17th, attracted some of the best custom bikes from all over Europe. But it wasn’t just about the bikes: this comprehensive exhibition also had plenty to offer all American car enthusiasts.
El centro de exposiciones de Padova fue literalmente invadido por más de 60.000 visitantes, y por un estruendo de potentes motores V8 americanos. La área de exposición de más de 6.000 metros cuadrados, el pabellón 5, incluyó el Hot Rod & Custom Car Show organizado por Cruisin’ Life Magazine en 3.000 metros cuadrados, una exposición con los Hot Rods y los Custom Cars más destacados y brillantes del panorama actual italiano. Junto a los coches clásicos y a los Mild Custom de Route 66 American Cars Club, crearon una atmósfera vintage-retro muy excitante que consiguió la aprobación de la mayoría de visitantes durante el fin de semana. De viernes a domingo el programa ofrecía un amplio abanico de oportunidades para disfrutar de un ambiente vintage y rockabilly, gracias a la presencia de bastantes estands (accesorios, peinados, vestuario, diseño, etc...) de interés para los aficionados. Grandes bandas como The Crunchy Candies, Jhonnyboy & The Ice Cream, y The Mad Tubes entretuvieron al personal con su música. Después hubo el encantador Vintage Fashion Parade (cortesía de Sam Missous Vintage and Futuretrò), el encuentro de coches americanos organizado por Route 66 ACC, la desatada sesión de los DJ’s y luego dos concursos de tatuajes. De acuerdo con la considerable afluencia de visitantes, podemos decir que en esta edición 2010 el Hot Rod & Custom Car Show ha dado en el blanco, proporcionando a todos los visitantes una experiencia excitante dentro de la cultura de los coches americanos. El año 2011 tienes una cita de nuevo en Padova (14-16 de enero), porqué ¡la verdadera pasión vive aquí!
Padova’s exhibition centre was literally invaded by over 60,000 visitors, and the roar of the powerful American V8 engines was deafening. The colourful 6,000m exhibition area (Pavilion 5) included the 3,000m Hot Rod & Custom Car Show organised by Cruisin’ Life Magazine (www.cruisinlife.it). This stunning exhibition featured some of the most outstanding Hot Rods and Custom Cars on the current Italian scene, as well as a selection of classic and “mild custom” cars from the Route 66 American Cars Club, creating an exciting vintage-retro atmosphere, to the obvious approval of visitors. The three-day event provided a great opportunity to enjoy a vintage and rockabilly vibe, with a lot of interesting stands featuring accessories, hairstyling, clothing, design, etc.). The crowds were kept entertained with music by great bands, such as The Crunchy Candies, Jhonnyboy & The Ice Cream and The Mad Tubes. Other highlights of the weekend included a vintage fashion show (courtesy of Sam Missous Vintage and Futuretrò), an American car meeting organized by the Route 66 ACC, the unleashed DJ set and two tattoo competitions. Judging by the high turnout, the 2010 Hot Rod & Custom Car Show definitely hit the mark, giving all guests the chance to experience the vividness and excitement of US Car Culture.
